증상
자동차를 잭으로 들어올리고 액슬 스탠드에 걸치는 작업에 대한 불안감. Mk1 에스코트의 후면 서스펜션 로우링 블록 교환 시 올바른 잭 위치와 액슬 스탠드 위치 결정의 어려움. 과거 Mk5 코티나에서 썩은 잭킹 포인트가 실(sill)로 함몰된 경험으로 인한 지속적인 우려.
처리 내용
가능하면 트레일링 암(trailing arm)이나 서브프레임(sub-frame)을 활용하는 것이 가장 안전함. 후면 빔 구조의 소형 피아트, 르노 등의 차량이 가장 다루기 쉬움. 잭킹 포인트의 위치를 정확히 파악할 것 - 많은 차량에서 실 커버 표시된 위치보다 안쪽으로 약 10cm 떨어진 실제 잭킹 포인트가 있음. 손상된 잭킹 포인트는 압궤 손상이 발생할 수 있으므로, 작업 전에 잭킹 포인트의 상태를 확인하고 필요시 유튜브 영상 및 정비 가이드를 참고하여 정확한 위치를 확인한 후 진행할 것.
