증상
2015 현대 소나타, 주행거리 17,000마일. 후측 드라이버 사이드 타이어에서 나사 발견. 타이어 샵의 비누물 테스트에서 서서히 누기 발생. 나사 삽입 후 약 50마일을 주행했으나 타이어가 즉시 펑크되지 않음. 타이어 샵에서 사이드월 손상으로 인해 수리 불가능하다고 판단.
처리 내용
나사가 사이드월을 관통했고 나사를 빼면 누기가 발생한다면, 타이어 샵은 수리할 수 없습니다. 타이어의 사이드월은 가장 얇은 부분입니다. 1/2인치 길이의 나사도 사이드월을 쉽게 관통할 수 있습니다. 나사나 못이 타이어에 박혔을 때(사이드월이든 트레드든) 즉시 타이어가 펑크되지 않는 것이 일반적입니다. 관통한 물체 주변에 충분한 밀폐가 이루어져 거의 완벽하게 밀폐되기 때문입니다. 이런 상태로 수십 마일, 수백 마일을 주행할 수 있습니다. 타이어 교체가 필요합니다.
