How much are you saving by supplying your own parts, if that's the reason? Is it that beneficial from the garage's point of view to just charge labour?
sutoka said: It happened twice with me with two different mechanics, one has lost tens of thousands of pounds of business from me because he was a prick.Supplied springs and rubber mounts for an Alfa, used him for years and it was always known I'd get the parts because some were on backorder and hard to source. Came in once and it was obvious he'd had an apprentice, his son its then turned out do the work.Had a drive and there's a noticeable metal on metal sound from the rear, up on the ramp underneath and the rubber spring seats are missing. Phone him straight away and instead of admitting his son forget to fit new ones, he first said he didn't think id supplied them and then started on a big thing about the manufacturer saying they weren't needed or some rubbish. What was worse is he couldn't find the parts I'd supplied. But that has cost him over the last 4-5 years, 20-30 k plus in income because my dad stopped using him. my mum, my sister, my partner both aunts and an uncle and a lot of friends. If he'd admitted the sons mistake and just fitted them I'd have been fine but play silly games, win silly prizes. What happened with the other?

This looks fantastic. I think it's got to a point you'd have to be daft to buy the G90 M5 over this or a top end Taycan. Either pure combustion or pure electric, the PHEVs are just a pointless, overcomplicated middle option

Still as subtle as a brick in your face. Not for me.

Other than a slightly bulky rear end, I think that looks fantastic. 9/10. And it's a saloon, not another bloody SUV - hurrah!
