I m a couple of years older, did the V8 M3 back in 2011 and a few other silly ones after that too. The cost of liquid fuel is going to be prohibitive very soon and I can t see it ever going back to what we d call normal prices again. Trump has shown the Iranians how to screw The West without firing a shot at them directly. I m no tightarse when it comes to spending money but having just spent 102 filling up my mum s Qashqai I can t see me rushing to buy an ICE car. Just drive less if it's a real problem which I'm sure is already happening. The extra cost of fuel is hardly crippling, AI tells me it's up 50p a litre on diesel (2025 Vs 2026) so say you have a 55 litre tank then £26 ish more. That is 12 gallons though so at 60mpg you'll get what 700 miles for that. Average driver it's said on here does 100-150 miles a week so that's at least a month of driving for £26 more. If that's pushing people into an EV then clearly they should have listened more in school.TX. Exactly Spending 40K to save say £30 is bonkers, but if its time for a newer car then of course considering an EV makes perfect sense, particularly if you can home charge. Near me with no home charging and typical rates of 55p for public chargers, EV still don't offer a great alternative. Stick to short filling and hoping that the price will go down. They're not spending £40k to save £30/month.They're comparing their monthly costs of renting an ICE and buying petrol v renting an EV and buying electricity. Let's at least try and engage brain. Any my brain says the Tesla deal is;• Monthly

This looks fantastic. I think it's got to a point you'd have to be daft to buy the G90 M5 over this or a top end Taycan. Either pure combustion or pure electric, the PHEVs are just a pointless, overcomplicated middle option

Still as subtle as a brick in your face. Not for me.

Other than a slightly bulky rear end, I think that looks fantastic. 9/10. And it's a saloon, not another bloody SUV - hurrah!
