엔진 내 슬러지와 카본 제거를 위해 세정 오일 사용. 유튜브에서는 500-1,000마일 후 오일 필터 교체를 권장하는 의견이 많음. 이전에 씨폼(Seafoam) 사용 후 약 300마일 동안 RPM 서징 현상 개선됨. 현재 발볼린 오일 사용 후 약 600-700마일 주행.
발볼린 Restore & Protect 오일의 Active Clean 기술은 엔진 내 퇴적물을 화학적으로 미세한 입자로 분해하여 모터 오일에 현탁시킨 후 다음 오일 교환 시 배출됨. 오일 필터 성능이나 수명에 영향을 주지 않으므로, 다음 정기 오일 교환 시에만 필터를 교체하면 됨. 조기 필터 교체는 필요하지 않음. 참고로 유휴 상태에서 핸들을 돌릴 때 RPM 서징이 발생하는 것은 엔진 부하 변화로 인한 것이며, 정상적으로는 엔진 관리 시스템이 연료와 유휴 공기 제어 밸브를 조정하여 보정해야 함.
