Glad you didn't give up on the car & really pleased that you're reaping the rewards

It's been a while! Not a particularly content heavy post if im honest but a bit of a catch up I suppose? mostly to let people know I still exist, the car still runs and the radio silence has mostly been a result from being busy with the house since the purchase.... trying to get a driveway done currently as we speak Not long after my last post the car somewhat went away for the rest of the year, coming out for the odd local coffee morning here and there. It's still generally running great, I had a fear that due to a bit of a fuel-y smell it was running rich due to the exhaust having warped, you could also "hear" the exhaust leaking right after the headers. It sits quite low afterall as the GT86 chassis was never designed to have two 3" pipes coming down under the car from the engine, so the passenger side hangs quite low. I originally planned to take it to a local garage and get it redone in stainless oval pipe but after getting down into the garage's pit with the owner he confirmed for me it wasn't leaking, we both noted it didn't actually smell under the car (even with it running) and you couldn't feel heat and gasses escaping from any joints so it was a case of "We could redo it for you but it's just spending money for the sake of it currently" Which i'm very happy to avoid right now It turns out what I could "Hear" was actually just the exhaust firing order hitting in the manifold collector, very much an v8 sort of noise but something that sounded wrong to me at first, it's kind of badass when you think about it!I'm also pleased that the AFR reading's i'm seeing on my Canbus gauge are accurate, as the O2 sensors are after the V-band I assumed they were being thrown off and the ECU was compensating for it so that's that concern put to bed. Here's a little video I took while under the car for my own record. Obviously it's by no means pretty with the damage to the exhaust but you can see just how tightly everything is packed under there, i'm glad it all fits at all! I

Toyed with doing this for ages! Hope you like it. Here goes... Before getting to my current cars, I always love the threads where people share their car history, so here's mine! Unfortunately I don't have pictures for all of them so I've pointed out where I've shamelessly borrowed from Google image search. Where possible the images are exactly as my cars were. So, first up...Nissan Micra K10 1.0 | 1985 | 50 BHP | 79 BHP per Ton | 0-60 in 13.6Image from GoogleHanded down from my older sister, this was my first car. Ghastly thing but made a change from all my peers who either drove Mk2 Fiestas o

Fantastic car to aquire. I've always admired these, it's a fantastic design and the interior is just brilliant. I was wondering which car was going to need your soon-to-be-aquired welding skills.

Without really looking for it, I am now the lucky owner of a 166:I wasn't looking for another car. Honest! But this was too good an opportunity to pass up...as it was free. Yes, free - but of course needs a fair amount of work.As you can see from my threads on PH I am fortunate to have a diverse fleet: some in storage, some away for long time work and a lucky rotation at home according to seasons and requirements. Coming up for 10 years ago I started my first thread in Reader's Cars on my 164, saved from the tail end of the scrappage scheme that cut a swathe through neo-classics. It started my
