증상
2013 Honda Civic 배터리가 완전히 충전된 상태에서, 10분 정도의 짧은 주행만으로는 장기적으로 배터리가 천천히 방전될 수 있을까? 추운 날씨가 되고 있고 자주 운전하지 않는 상황에서, 편도 10분 운행을 2개월간 반복할 경우 배터리 충전이 충분할까?
처리 내용
10마일(약 16km) 정도의 주행이라면 주 1회 정도의 빈도로 이루어질 경우 배터리 충전에 충분합니다. 그러나 배터리 외에 신경 써야 할 점들이 있습니다. 차량을 운행할 때마다 엔진을 완전히 워밍업해야 합니다(주행을 통해). 이는 실링 컨디셔닝, 가스켓 건조 방지, 낡은 휘발유 배출 등 여러 이유로 중요합니다. 연료 관리 측면에서 장시간 방치 예정이라면 Sta-Bil 같은 휘발유 안정제를 사용하고 연료탱크를 가득 채우는 것이 좋습니다(탱크 내 공기 줄임으로써 휘발유 변질 방지). 배터리 관리의 더 나은 방법은 배터리 텐더(Battery Tender) 사용입니다. 이는 미사용 중에도 배터리를 완전히 충전되고 유지된 상태로 보관합니다. 배터리 텐더는 차량 전기 시스템에 영구적으로 연결된 피그테일(Pigtail)이 있어서, 이를 콘센트에 꽂인 텐더에 연결하면 간단하게 사용할 수 있습니다.
