*Best Whitesnake impression*[I]And here I go again on my ownGoing down the only road I've ever known[/I]I have single handedly done bits on Ivor in the carpark of where we live, been a while since I actually got my hands dirty doing car bits and I enjoyed it.The offending split and rusty barn door strut.Just two clips and about a minute later and we have a shiny new one in place.They came as a pair so it just seemed sensible to do the other one, yeah I know, me being sensible, who'da thunked it!!!And so onto the cabin filter, this did go as smoothly as the knuckle dragging halfwit that had installed the previous one hadn't slid the filter in using the guides inside the box, ooohhhhhh no , nope, they'd just folded and shoved it in there, I failed to get a picture of it in situ but this is the state of what came out!!! Now anyone who's met me knows I'm not what you'd call lithe or indeed svelte, I am a bit of a lump so contorting myself into what can only be described as Kamasutra like poses to feed the new filter into the tracks and up into the housing is not something suitable for those of a delicate disposition, but I bravely contorted away, endured having a gear stick somewhere unmentionable and the handbrake making friends with my kidney to get the job done, now you're both (I'm assuming there's at least two people reading this) wondering why I didn't just do it from the open passenger door.......I tried that approach and nearly broke my back contorting myself over the door frame!!!But I got it done, and look, no twisted bent, crushed bits!!!Next on the list, a replacement end cover for the handbrake as my knob keeps falling off, stop sniggering, and replacement steering wheel buttons as mine are wearing and the white plastic underneath is showing through.......
