But in practice it would be painful pumping several hundred pounds of petrol into it each month, all the time knowing that the reward is a car that isn't as real world fast as endless family EV's, or indeed the i4 currently occupying my driveway - essentially the V8 cars grandchild!I love the sound of the V8 too, but even that loses some of it's appeal, because it is no longer a sound that indentifies a car as one of the fastest on the road.High performance cars were never very sensible of course, but for decades, for me at least, there were enough upsides to make them desirable enough to justify the downsides. But today, knowing it's possible to have even stronger performance and at less cost, that naturally changes the equation somewhat.Cool classic V8's are fun for weekends & euro trips.Something EV for everything else.
