Ideally, you need a companion oven so that you can turn them off in Spring and a kitchen that is open to part of the house or you just end up with a warm kitchen that you were probably not fussed about heating in the first instance. They do actually lose heat quite quickly and take a long time to get up to temp so I would guess that the time window for cheap electric may not be long enough. But on paper it does seem like a genius use of a deliberately inefficient heat battery. They're lovely and cosy as you say DA in the winter. But the previous house we

(This is quite the thread derailment)There are two types of electric Aga though aren't there? The traditional oven that is the same as the gas and oil ones and then just a normal electric oven they make look like a range cooker? We had the smaller one as the companion oven next to the gas Aga. Its purpose was to be used in the summer when you turned the Aga off. To be honest, I don't think the genius plan would work anyway as the discount energy windows are kept deliberately short and even if you could pull a full 3kw out for 6 hours that wouldn't get the Aga close to being up to temp and it would probably stop radiating any kind of measurable heating contribution by midday. Thermal batteries are certainly valid although commercially they just haven't made them viable. Companies like Tepeo have burned all their investor capital having spent it whinging about the nasty gubberment while trying to give units away to ecotards who then put a massive, grim, white unit in their living room to turn their home into a council bedsit. I'm not sure Caldera are doing much better trying to sell to commercial clients. And of course by far the simplest system, to expand the existing water tank storage solution requires comical amounts of space to store and heat enough water to be worth the effort. And then you have all the time risk after capex where you're beholden to the whims of the energy vendor and their terms as well as the stupidity of the modern world where everything has to work through an app that is run by a company that won't exist in a few years but has to 'own their digital environment' because they watched a YT video from one of the U.S. MBA clones. By far the only logical and sane so

I’ve previously driven the car to Stuttgart to the museum and the Singelfinden site. Last spring I did the Affalterbach factory tour (arranged through the AMG Private Lounge) which is a must for any owner. It’s a superb opportunity with a one-to-one guide around the AMG site. I got to see two of the four safety cars which were in for service, and some inspiring machinery and some great people. I was introduced to engineers who worked on and enthused about the C36. As I’m sure most are aware, it’s the first of the official Mercedes Benz-AMG collaborations, so it’s held with some affection. Du

I was lucky to buy a one owner, low mileage, launch edition 1984 mk2 GTI in Mars Red a few years back. Took my time refurbing the suspension and bringing her back up to standard, she was a cracker. Now sold but great to see her still active on the VW show scene.

Yes somethings are not to my liking, but most are.It s like mobile phones and tv, current ones are much better then the old ones, in looks and also picture quality, night and day really.I've got all that in the X5, but I'm not sure if it makes driving more enjoyable though.
