증상
2006 미쓰비시 콜트 1.1 휘발유, 전자식 파워 스티어링(EPS) 장착. 저속 또는 정차 상태에서는 파워 스티어링이 잘 작동하고 핸들을 쉽게 돌림. 고속 주행 시 핸들이 뻣뻣해지고 자동 복귀 기능이 작동하지 않음. 속도에 따라 파워 스티어링 어시스턴스가 달라져야 하는데, 저속에서도 핸들이 항상 뻣뻣한 상태로 느껴짐.
처리 내용
스티어링 랙을 차에서 분리하여 프론트 서브프레임을 내림. 알루미늄 케이싱에 심각한 부식 발견. 스티어링 입력 샤프트에 몰그립을 고정하여 회전 저항을 확인. 모터 스틸 케이싱과 EPS 바디 접합부 등 여러 조인트가 부식으로 인해 부풀어 있음. 볼트 제거 시 하나가 부러져 드릴링으로 제거. EPS 바디 일부를 분해하고 입력 샤프트 회전 시 이전보다 부드러워짐을 확인. 명백한 손상은 발견되지 않음. 모든 접합면을 세척하고 EPS를 재조립. 조립 후 수동 회전이 더 부드러워짐. 부식으로 인한 접합부 정렬 불량이 컴포넌트 미스얼라인먼트를 유발하여 저항을 증가시킨 것으로 판단.
