I wouldn’t worry too much as I can’t believe this will be anything other than a very low volume prospect in the UK or Europe where most of the contributors above are based.What I find mildly interesting is this appears to be built in Bratislava (at least the article states this). The X7 and GLS are (almost entirely) built in the States. Which, on the face of it, seems a more understandable strategy.I’m sure VAG know what they’re doing. Or at least they employ many very well rewarded people who think they do. I dunno.Will this platform spin off Porsche and Bentley cousins? From a euro-centric perspective launching a feck off huge ICE platform seems counter to the prevailing direction of travel. This at a time where there are reports of VAG slashing models. As above, I’m sure VAG know what they’re doing.
