Mechanically the Yaris will not cost you much more than service bits, the leaf with a range of 50 miles in winter kills a battery or motor and its scrap Looking at some of videos on YouTube fixing ev’s is a skill and expensive- the skill we will never have in any great numbers people are not joining the motor trade at the minute so that’s even fewer people to fix them. While an ingenium may eat its timing chain it’s a fairly simple fix and cheaper and easier than repairing a battery or motor.I keep looking at something cheap to run about in, but I’m better pcp’ing it for £125 a month and then not having the hassle come resale time. The trouble is by the time I have paid 3ppm taxed it, insured it, maintained it it’s costing me more money than 20mpg in the current daily.
