(I have a 911 turbo S, it has all the huff and puff to keep EV's firmly in the rear view mirror..)At least if you wear crocks in public, they allow your soul to slowly flow out of the holes, EV's take it away from you when you make some form of argument about any benefits or reason for owning one....Rant over, ready

I bit the bullet two years ago, it was a huge step into the unknown for me. I've put almost 30k miles on it in the last two years - Looking back I wish Id done it sooner.Mine has the ultra white interior (doddle to look after) with carbon. 520hp 4 wheel drive (dual motor). Its rapid, handles well for a big car (smart air suspension). This has Enhanced Auto Pilot (EAP), it drives itself. On long journeys, or in bad traffic it means I get out totally refreshed at the end of the journey. Telsa updates almost the entire fleet every month, this car is constantly updating itself. My last car (Range Rover) got ONE update in 4 years of ownership, and that was a bug fix. These updates keep the car fresh and about as future proof as you can get.I sit in other cars now, drive them too, and just think its literally like going back to the steam age. Too much lag, too much waiting around for something to happen, when it does happen its yawn inducing. Im addicted to that instant power and being able to place the car exactly on the bit of road I'm looking at. One pedal driving is amazing, I'm still on original brakes and disks at almost 80K miles. There's a lot of ignorance around, and for some reason, some people get really fired up about electric vehicles. I find the ones that get up a height about it are people who have never owned one. Range anxiety is a complete fallacy, batteries catching fire, batteries failing etc etc etc just rubbish. There's heaps of places now that can repair batteries for a few grand. For anyone looking to dabble, i'd honestly say bite the bullet - you may just give yourself a surprise.Regarding the one pedal driving - is the "motor braking" as effective as it sounds? Instead of lifting off completely, like in an ICE, do you gradually come off the gas pedal (yes I know!) to a point where i

볼보 XC60
Such a shame to see what has become of the Volvo brand specifically. They used to make some great, functional, comfortable interiors. Hard to believe now, but they had a reputation for safety as the pioneered things like seatbelts and crumple zones while keeping things very ergonomic, allowing the driver to concentrate on the road ahead.Edited by ducnick on Wednesday 19th August 09:37

BMW 5시리즈
Wow! Lots of negativity here. I really like this. While it's not as chiselled / attractive as the previous XC60 (which we have), it's still an attractive and cleanly styled car, and way better than the bugs bunny BMW iX3 or cheesy open mouthed Merc to my eyes. I wasn't sure about the looks at first, but I've grown to like it. It's certainly more elegant than the mildly ugly fussy and overdone German opposition. The cream interior wears well - our XC60 is 8 years / 100k miles old, and it still looks fresh inside. It helps that neither of us wears jeans (hideous boring conformist things that the
