브레이크가 녹이 슬어서 교체가 필요한지 궁금함
처리 내용
로터 뒷면과 브레이크 패드 두께를 직접 확인하지 않고는 정확히 판단하기 어렵지만, 보이는 것으로는 브레이크를 교체할 필요가 전혀 없어 보입니다. 특히 표면 녹 때문에 교체할 필요는 없습니다. 현재 보이는 녹은 쉽게 설명할 수 있습니다. 브레이크를 사용하면 매우 뜨거워집니다. 일부 외부 코팅을 제외하고는 대부분의 코팅/도료가 열로 인해 벗겨지면서 깨끗한 노출된 금속 표면을 남깁니다(애초에 코팅이 없는 경우는 더욱 그렇습니다). 아시다시피 노출된 철이나 강철은 매우 쉽게 녹이 슬 수 있습니다. 이 로터의 주철도 예외가 아닙니다. 보이는 로터 측면의 표면이 매끄러운 것으로 보아 적어도 이쪽(안쪽은 다를 수 있음)에는 패드가 충분히 남아있는 것으로 판단됩니다. 브레이크 패드가 얇아지면 보통 로터에 파고들기 시작하면서 여러 홈과 능선이 생깁니다. 크기는 크거나 작을 수 있지만 분명히 보일 것입니다.

2019 Dodge Ram 5.7L HEMI, 100km 미만. 브레이크 작업 후 시운전 중 풀 스로틀로 0-70mph까지 한 번 가속 후 발생. 엔진 미스파이어 시작, 체크 엔진 라이트 깜박임. 리듬컬한 탭탭탭 소리 발생(collapsed lifter 유사음). 2/3 스로틀 이상에서만 발생, 정상 주행 시에는 미스만 있고 해머링음 없음.

I did more track days in my E60 than all my other cars in the past combined I would hazard a guess at. So many fond memories. My advice, put a decent set of brakes on it, I ended up with 12 Piston Calipers and 400mm rotas with all the track days I did and it really transformed it and the confidence it gave to the car.

I'm very observant when driving or walking, the other day I walked my son to school alongside a busy road, I reckon 80% of the cars that passed me were looking down at phones. I had a van pull out on me on a roundabout a few months ago and then slam his brakes on, phone clearly visible so I submitted the footage to TVP and to my surprise they sent me a letter confirming a prosecution. The amount of times I've had to swerve recently because of cars swerving onto my side of the road is diabolical.

I think it is a shame to lose one of the distinctive features of the 944 (the wrap around rear screen).Proportions from rear three-quarters are also a bit too Scimitar for my taste but each to their own.
