I have a Chinese phone that I bought almost 6 years ago and it still works flawlessly and even the battery is still okay. I bought it mainly because it offered the same hardware as the premium brands for a fraction of the price. My daughter's iPhone battery went up in smoke literally. We also bought a Hisense TV in 2018 for our bedroom. Still working absolutely fine whereas the Samsung Oled in our main room which we paid a lot more for two years prior got junked ages ago. People had the same attitude to the Japanese 40 years ago whereas today we look at the Japanese in a completely different light. China isn't the China that we view from even 20 years ago. This is a country that has its own space station and own GPS satellite system just to name a few. They are more technologically advanced than little old blighty where we still view ourselves in the era of the Spitfire when the reality is we are in the era of love island. Looking at it now Jaguar have played a blinder in all reality as large scale OEMs stand no chance against China. Whereas making Jag a premium product will yet to be seen if it is a success or failure but they would have stood zero chance against China in their old format. Average Joe has little brand loyalty. It isn't like uncle Joe who used to work in the foundry at Dagenham anymore. You can see why the west is so desperate for Ai to work because China are coming fast.
