Oak green. 3 door. Big bumper. Need I say more?
I have had almost all generations of the GTi. Currently have a mk8 GTE which for my use is fantastic. My mk2 had a few engines in it, ending with a 2.0 16v ABF out a Seat Ibiza (essentially a Mk3 Gokf GTi). It was plug and play the loom just plugged into the fuse box. The immobiliser ring clipped on the steering column, only had to split out the wiper loom if I remember. But, I probably should have stopped with the 2.0 2E bottom end and Newman cam. I think the whole thing cost less than £500 with gaskets and fluids. More torque and more revs. With the 8v’s box it was superb. Especially after ‘hot golf’ fitted a Quaife and his shift kit and solid front engine mount. I hate the term rifle like gear change, but……. Think it also had a ‘man in the shed’ ported head and matched manifolds. Long live club GTi!

Synchro, 1.8L 16v G-Ladder supercharged making 210bhp and 186lb ft, BBS RM012's, ABS brakes, single headlights, and a tiny little motorsport badge as VW Motorsport put them together. I believe all were 4 door and that the 2nd batch, within the total of 71 cars, where upped to 240bhp. Edited by alexpa on Saturday 19th September 16:26

The 8v engine was a very nice all round engine for torque and smoothness and the car felt a bit more solid compared to other hot hatches of the time. Wouldnt have bothered with a 16v, if I d have wanted more power the red top 2.0 16v Astra was a better engine. I felt you sat a little high in the golf though, more on it than in it.Didnt realise that they were available on an A plate ! Hens teeth i would imagine now ? Just remembered that in 87 we replaced my Mums stolen immaculate Y plat
I had a J plate Golf 1.8 Driver is Capri Green. I never realised they did a mk2 16v in that colour. Looks great.

I was looking around the supermarket carpark in dispair today. If you built 1999 Mondeo 1.8 Hatches today and sold them for 25k you'd sell them by the million. Cars have gone dramatically backwards.Am I right?
BMW 5시리즈
Would have any one of them, except perhaps the BMW and swap it for a 1M, one of the only @6k ones made, Limited then!

Hi All,I own a 2004 MX-5, which I recently paid £3000 for welding and £1400 for an underside repaint, seal and cavity wax.The insurance comparison sites say my car is worth £1500, however prices online vary wildly from £1000 for a rust bucket to £10,000 for a pristine low milage example. My car has 63k miles, so lower than average and is in excellent condition, as well as having a rare beige leather and wood trim interior, wooden steering wheel etc.MX-5s of this age can look near mint externally, but small bubbles on the sills will usually hide a much bigger problem because the rust starts in
