증상
1970 카마로의 상단 컨트롤 암에 잘못된 볼조인트를 장착함. 모터 없이 교체해야 하는데, 차량 프레임을 고정할 방법이 제한적임 (차고 바닥에 구멍을 뚫을 수 없음). 1969년형과 1970년 상반기형의 프레임 호환성 문제로 인해 1969년형 볼조인트(다른 부품번호)를 교체해야 함.
처리 내용
AutoZone 같은 부품점에서 스프링 컴프레서를 렌탈하는 것이 최선의 방법임. 렌탈료는 최소한이고, 일부 매장에서는 보증금으로 대여 가능. 래칫 스트랩 사용은 권장하지 않음 - 스트랩이 미끄러져 스프링이 튀어나올 위험이 있음. 쇼크 흡수기가 스프링 중앙을 지나가므로 더욱 위험할 수 있으니, 스프링 컴프레서를 사용하여 안전하게 작업할 것.
