A500leroy said: Advise.Ka 2014 92k.Due cambelt kit on age.Mot in October. If it passes, get garage to put new kit on, or play cambelt toilet?Think that has the Fiat Fire engine (that era KA = Fiat in a pretty skirt). I'd check on the Fiat forums for opinions. Lovely engines for what they are.

It's a quattro avant with a 6spd manual as well, but in glorious base spec, so it has 16" wheels with balloon tyres (fairly recent goodyears) for ultimate comfort.I've addressed all the common failure points these engines do have (genuine injector loom, thermostat, CTS), and also replaced all of the aux system with genuine bits (belt, tensioner, idler), did the clutched alternator pulley too.Other than that, it's had plenty of other work done over the year by me to keep it alive, such as 3 new calipers, servo, master cylinder, refurb steering rack etc (also all common b6 A4 failures).To keep it driving well, I put bilstein b4s on a year ago, and for the last MOT it needed a couple of bushes and balljoints on the front so I pretty much just replaced the lot while I was there, and found that an inner tie rod also needed doing so did that too. Parts are abundant and very cheap.It's on 141k at the moment. Pulls like a train etc. Cam isn't really a weak point on this variant, but anyway I checked it and there's no wear- I service it with correct oil etc.I've had a look around and people are trying to sell really leggy examples with no description of work done, likely going to have all the common faults pop up soon etc. for £1-1.5k. Am I mad for thinking I could offer this up for £1400ish and see if I ultimately end up taking around £1200ish? Does anyone here want to experience the earth-rotating torq
