As with a conversation on another thread a few months back, people are very bad at judging real risk / probabilities.And let us not forget that a larger vehicle comes with issues such as longer to stop, wider, less manoeuvrable, higher CoG and more likely to flip over, and the all time classic of worse driving as you think you are safer...And we already know that something like a Range Rover is far far worse for pedestrians - and we know that large SUV's are more likely to kill their own kids while manoeuvring ( https://www.leedsscp.org.uk/driveways ).So yeah. I am not convinced any SUV is 'safer'...
