지오 메트로가 2700마일 도로여행 중 간헐적으로 정지. 처음 800마일 후 언덕을 올라갈 때 75mph에서 55mph로 떨어졌다가 다시 시동. 이후 여러 언덕에서 반복되다가 정상화됨. 귀로에서 첫 번째 언덕에서 다시 발생, 700마일 후 작은 언덕의 정지신호에서 발생. 집에서 60마일 떨어진 지점에서 6마일마다 정지 시작. 4기통 모터.
점화코일이 주된 용의자. 이중 코일 구성에서 한쪽 코일이 간헐적으로 작동/비작동하면서 때때로 4기통 모두 점화되다가 2기통만 점화되는 증상 발생 가능. 이 문제 파악까지 수개월 소요된 경우도 있으므로 점화코일 점검 권장.
