It was used in the Corolla GTi though.Yes I know it wasn't used in the Celica what I'm getting at is it would of upset the applecart. If it had a 4age in it. It would of been as quick, if not quicker than the Celica so why would anyone have spent double on buying a Celica every car has its place in a manufacturers line up. This was placed in the budget friendly coupe. Do you think putting the 1.6L 112bhp 4AGE engine in the Paseo would have made it quicker than the 2.0L 173bhp 3SGE engine mk6
I just picked up one of these from BCA with 180k on the clock and five owners from new. Amusingly it appears to have been going to the Toyota dealer, with OE filters and an OE battery fitted although sadly I have almost no history.Bodywork is scruffy in terms of scuffs and fading but there is almost no rust on it and it's like a 5 year old car underneath, I think the sills were stonechipped and the underside done from a young age because it's unreal. I also suspect it's not been out in salt very much if at all.I'm very impressed with how it drives, it's a real nostalga trip but it really shows how utterly unengaging (and enormous) modern cars are. I drove it down a lane that is a real nail biter in my XJ but I did it one handed while drinking tea with no worries in the two foot narrower Paseo I think the car was very much a victim of the British motoring presses fondess for pissing all over Japanese cars for asinine reasons at the time, finding it wanting against a Megane Coupe because the black plastic interior in the Renault was "more interesting" than the black plastic interior of the Toyota. For years I allowed my view of Japanese cars to be coloured by these idiots, but recently have been discovering that they're fabulous and always were. Even the rubbish they spout about how the switches feel is complete nonsense.Compared to other 1997 Vintage cheap cars the thing is quite obviously a very well engineered and high quality product.I'll be taking it to the Festival of the Unexceptional in the summer, maybe see you there? This is it's worst sideEven has the manual if you need to know how to use it's many features.

The body and paint are in pretty good condition considering the car's age, etc.Good luck with the next steps.
Possibly a strange topic for some, but I’ve always had a fascination with headlamp washers, and in particular systems that involve wipers. I’ve had a couple, namely a Saab 900 and an E30 BMW. Some other manufacturers like Volvo and Mercedes were well known for them tooHowever, this evening I randomly found the following image of a Talbot Solaro, and it got me thinking about what other cars are there where headlight wipers were availableA few others that spring to mind:Any other obscure ones?
