Looks very similar to the olfactory Lexus IS200-maybe just me.I really don't understand why EVs need to have non-round steering wheels though.I tried a local dealer demonstrator for a couple of hours last week (their 2026 allocation is sold out so they didn't mind lending it to someone in for an airbag recall on a 17 year old 3 series!). Predictable the steering wheel was a complete disaster; fine when driving in a 1.50pm fashion, but when maneuvering the rim wasn't where you expecting it to be, and the feel of the 'aluminium' bit was just wrong. The only way you could tell which way up it was at a glance was checking to see where the 'B M W' letters were in relation to the logo in the boss. The TV Shop screens were also the usual UI barrier; simple adjustment of the cabin temperature was ok, but changing the direction of an air vent involved the 3rd level of a menu and waving your finger around. On the 22" wheels, the ride was predictably lumpy over the third world tracks that pass for roads in West Sussex (and they're not even good looking), and there's the usual slight nodding as the suspension tries to deal with a combination of e-SUV weight, corners and bumps. But those were the downsides; it was a comfortable, spacious, airy, quiet, stupid fast family motor that would meet the needs of plenty of the comfortably off with home charging. And when I picked it up it was showing 375 miles range at 74% charge on a 12.5C day, which means range is well beyond my bladder capacity.But I'll wait for the i3 Touring.

Been and collected it this lunchtime after another test drive and I read the codes whilst out & about and thankfully zero issues Will collect the 18" alloys & winter tyres ASAP and then sell the 403Ms off; they've just been refurbed but a) I don't like them that much, b) not a fan of black wheels at all and c) the RFTs are crap Parts already been ordered (OEM velour mats and M Sport grilles via Cotswolds BMW) and a full oil & filter change kit etcThe parts list will continue to grow haha

Watching Matt's preview of the new BMW 3 series he revealed one milestone feature - "Driver Routines" Timestamp: 4:30https://youtu.be/NJJxakiMqgQ?t=270BMW has added driver routines (profiles) with logic conditions (eg. When you start the car) ... to toggle various system including stop/start ... lane assist, speed warnings etc. The profile is bound to the driver entering the car (key).This is very much welcomed but does anyone know why we couldn't have had this much earlier - is it new EU legislation, or have BMW found a clever loophole to bypass the EU regs to avoid having these system always

This looks fantastic. I think it's got to a point you'd have to be daft to buy the G90 M5 over this or a top end Taycan. Either pure combustion or pure electric, the PHEVs are just a pointless, overcomplicated middle option

Other than a slightly bulky rear end, I think that looks fantastic. 9/10. And it's a saloon, not another bloody SUV - hurrah!
