It looks the business from the outside and those rocker switches do look quite cool. I'm not sure the badge is established enough to sell too many over here at this money though. While certainly not all, I don't think it's controversial to say a majority of buyers for £70k SUVs are at least a bit interested in perceived status.Mind you, you have to start building that reputation somewhere. Maybe BYD see bringing it here as a loss leader to help establish the brand.

They want a LR. 70k is too much for the cant afford a LR crew. 70k is too much for the country farmer as they either want LR or cheap as pickup. Also farmers go with who ever dealer is closest. Only way this sells is a massive lease insensitive. £300pm. No one in their right mind would foot the depreciation on it. I reckon it will be worth £30k in 3 years. No one will take that hit without it having the prestige on your drive. It's worth £30k now let alone in 3 years!
