Long live the diesel, can’t believe we in Europe are prepared to throw away the years of engine development, creating such efficient, powerful, clean, economical modes of transport, crazy.Slightly biased as a Defender D250 owner 😉
mjspencer348 said: While the average US and UK commuter travels similar distances (14.4 miles US vs. 8.5-10 miles UK), the average mileage driven per annum is about double (13,500-14,200 miles US vs. 7,000-7,400 miles UK). So when Americans drive out-of-town, they go a lot further. Naturally, this makes EVs problematic, with petrol still king, unless you need to haul stuff with you, then diesel gets the job done best. Anyone whose spent time in the US knows just how different we are as countries, back in the day I lived in Texas, the UK can fit inside that State 2.8 times over... big doesn't cover it.You would think something more economical would be preferable then.

This looks fantastic. I think it's got to a point you'd have to be daft to buy the G90 M5 over this or a top end Taycan. Either pure combustion or pure electric, the PHEVs are just a pointless, overcomplicated middle option

Still as subtle as a brick in your face. Not for me.

Other than a slightly bulky rear end, I think that looks fantastic. 9/10. And it's a saloon, not another bloody SUV - hurrah!
