They are great cars and I hope you have lots of fun & adventure with yours!Thank you!They are Yakima bars (aero type) with a foot system for raised roof-rails. Yakima (or others) don't really recognise the Cross, as you mentioned you'd struggled with.I had the bars and feet installed to the family car, a Countryman. Some measurements taken and they were similar in raised bar profile and rail width. The system allows some slight adjustment which was useful as the Cross' rails start to taper out towards the front. I fit the rear bar in the 'gap' and front bar before it tapered out too much and downwards. I wanted the top of the bars level, for more contact to the bottom of the Thule carrier (used T bolts in the rail slots). It's very neat, and feels solid.It took some adjusting to get the bike fitted and the arm and straps aligned at the frame/wheel contact points. The geometry is a slack so the fixings had to be slid and adjusted to fit how it located on the Cross roof. Positioned at the back to avoid the boot.I had to flip the ratchet around to clear the rear bar.
