2019 Honda Odyssey, about 65k miles. I accidentally tried starting my van without my foot pressing down on the break pedal (something I don’t do typically) and was greeted with a low voltage battery warning, turn off headlights… Warning. Pressed foot on the break and van started up just fine. This seems to can be replicated every time. Is this normal when you try to do this?
My 2014 Honda Accord is having issues starting, it’ll start intermittently. Some days I have no problems at all and other days it will take 2 or 3 attempts to start. Already had it checked with a mechanic, he assured me everything is fine. Starter, alternator and battery are all okay. Tomorrow I will be taking it to the Honda Dealership, hopefully everything works out. This is very stressing and disappointing. I thought Hondas were great cars, now I’m considering buying a Lexus.
I drive a 97 Honda Accord and just recently started experiencing an issue where while driving, my ignition suddenly shuts off. Sometimes when this happens I’m able to turn the key and get the ignition started right back up while coasting, but usually forces me to coast to the side of the road instead to throw it in park and restart ignition (instantly, no sputtering). This problem seems to occur most frequently while driving at low speeds or stopped at a light or sign. Despite the ignition cutting, my headlights and radio, etc remain on leading me to believe that the battery is fine. I’ve take
2020 Honda Accord. I’m now realizing that the lower ball joints use self locking clinch nuts. Have never heard of clinch nuts before. Anyways the service information says to replace them. This is with regards to the lower three nuts that goes onto the studs, as opposed to castle nut that goes on top under the cv axle. See lots of people on youtube doing repairs which requires removing these nuts, and they go ahead and use the same old rusty nuts right back on. image 667×557 32.8 KB Looking online at this type of self locking technology. It is mostly used in sheet metal. A hole is drilled into
Trying to DIAG possible worn out sway bar bushings on a Honda Accord. On this car, the bushings appear to be molded/formed directly to the sway bar, and you are not supposed to attempt to replace just the bushings, and get a brand new sway bar. I would like to confirm that the sound I am hearing is coming from the bushings. Is there any safety issues with temporarily disconnecting the sway bar links, to see if the sound goes away, as long as I drive around turns very slowly? The service data says to use Honda tool VSB02C000016, which appears to be a front subframe adapter for a transmission ja
2020 Honda Accord, 120k miles on it. I hear a scrape and pop sound when going over bumps and a metal scrape when turning. Sound appeared to be mainly coming from the front and back on both sides. Dealer had said it was front struts, bearing within the mounts, and also listed an line item for “sway bar link kit (front) - Replace ADD SWAY BAR BUSHING” for ~$600. The sway bar bushing is molded to the sway bar, so you can’t replace just the sway bar bushings. Replacing the sway bar on this car requires lowering the front subframe. So I am not exactly sure what that line item was referring to. I as
